Using AI to understand and practice isn't cheating. Submitting its output as your work is. Here's the whole thing, spelled out.
1. What this tool is for
Chad × Stacy exists to help you understand things, practice retrieving them, and plan when to study. That's it. Ask the AI to explain a concept five different ways. Drill the cards until the exam feels boring. Take the practice test before the real one.
All of that is studying — the kind that was always allowed, just faster.
2. What counts as academic misconduct
You know where the line is. To be explicit, it's misconduct to:
- Submit AI output as your own work — essays, problem sets, code, anything you turn in for a grade.
- Upload live exam content — questions from a test that's in progress, or material your school or exam provider prohibits sharing.
- Break your school's rules. Every school draws its own AI line. If your professor says no AI on an assignment, that rule wins — not this page.
A decent gut check: if you'd be uncomfortable showing your professor how you used it, don't use it that way.
3. What we do about it
We may remove content that breaks this code, and we may suspend accounts that keep breaking it. We'd rather not — this app is built for people who want to actually learn the material.
